GED search

A simple tool for searching through a GED file, extracting each matching GED record.

You'll need to have Perl installed, it is available for almost every platform. Run the program like this:
   ged-search.pl  myfamily.ged  output.txt  record-type search-string ...
Where record-type is one of: "all" (for all types), "any" (same as all), "family", "individual", "person" (same as individual), or "note". Any number of search strings is allowed, using "and" logic. If a search string begins with a tilde ("~") then that string must not exist in the record.
In the case of "index" as the first search string, then the record with the numerical match of the second search string is the output record.
